Many accommodations available in Roatan are the results of someone adding extension after extension onto an original island-style home. After-the-fact expansion often results in a perplexing floor-plan and challenging logistical usage of the property. We have experienced first hand, showers that are bigger than the bedroom, kitchens that had no running water, airconditioning in one room only, a kitchen built into a closet, and more.
We purchased this property intending to create a tiny lodging accommodation with just a few casitas & our final home, to provide us with a social hobby as we move into the retirement phase of our lives.
About Our Property
We spent three years looking for the right property before purchasing this location. We wanted to be very close to West End, but we were adamant that we could find a way to reduce all the noise and congestion that comes along with that crazy amount of activity, especially during the evening hours. We believe we picked the perfect location.

About Our Casitas
We intended to build casitas that we would be willing to live in ourselves, for an extended period, and find very comfortable/practical to use while we were in the process of building our home. We hand-picked the best features from the various places we’d stayed in over the years and made sure we could eliminate the characteristics we found unappealing.

Our Casita Floor Plan
The COVID-19 disaster closed the island of Roatan, delaying our project by more than a year. The positive consequence of this is that we had an additional six months to rethink and rework our casita floor plan. Hopefully, we finally got it right!

For Scuba Divers
If you’re visiting Roatan for Scuba Diving, you’ll find that we are in a great location on the island. There are three dive shops located within walking distance from us, the closest being just about 600 feet down the beach.
These neighborhood shops offer more of a boutique experience, meaning smaller groups and much more personalized interaction. If you’re looking for a larger group experience with packed boats and lots of people, the shops all the cruise ships typically use, there are four of those shops within a mile of us. Overall, there are more than a dozen dives shops that are very closeby, offering just about any type of dive experience you can imagine.
The variety of dive sites in the local area is unmatched anywhere else on the island. Many of the dive shops on the island bring their guests for a long boat ride into this area, just to experience our local dive sites.
We offer our guests a complementary, secure place to hang up and store your equipment, and we will also provide transportation to any West End or Sandy Bay dive shop location.
